I am still having the same problems with MS Vista Ultimate after the upgrade. Machine error and Runtime error . Disable UAC and problems go away.
As Stated:
Full compliance with MS Vista, including support for enabled User Account Control (UAC) and disabled Virtualization -

Hi,

if you switch to a different access right profile after the EASE licence has been set already, it may not be found again because Windows re-directs software access to certain directories depending on the security settings.

To work with enabled UAC, first upload your licence, de-install EASE and EASEGuard, switch to enabled UAC, install EASE and EASEGuard and download a licence. The same is true for Virtualization.

Please make sure you are aware of the various aspects of the new MS policies. The new Vista approach seems quite complex and not entirely bug-free to us. At present we cannot really recommend users to upgrade to Vista from an XP system.

That is exactly the procedure I used. It still does not work.

You may need to run the EASE cleaning tool (available at EASE Tools) after un-installing EASE and EASE Guard, to make sure there are no pointers in the Registry that cause problems. I would also delete the EASE folder, as well. Then proceed with the new EASE and EASEGuard installation.
