We have run into a bug that seems to come up occassionally and has been more persistent recently. Upon starting work in the morning (after full restart the night before), EASE will either entirely loose the drawing elements (faces, edges, etc.) or it will recall the wrong drawing elements. Usually, this happens on a collegue's computer but it has happened on others (including my Mac running Bootcamp, VM Ware Fusion, and Parallels).

For example, yesterday Tao drew a facility by opening an existing project and re-saving the project under a new name. Then, he re-used some elements and drew new ones. This morning, when opening the new drawing the original drawing's elements show up and the new drawing work cannot be found!

We tried opening the project from Windows Explorer and from the EASE File menu - no changes.

The computer was previously my workstation on which EASE 4.1 had been installed. When Tao started in July, he upgraded it to 4.2 under his user.

OS = Windoze XP Pro - multiple users
PC = DELL Precision 670 (dual 3GHz processors, not dual core) 2GB Ram

Hi John,

Be sure that you Check Data, Edit > Check Data or F5 in Edit Project before saving. Changes made in Edit Project are local to the Edit module until you execute a Check Data.

If you are sure that data was checked before saving, be sure that you are opening the last version of the project. At the bottom of the File menu in the EASE Main will be the last ten projects that have been opened. Select the top project from the list to open the most recent project.
