Whenever I need to built a face over the floor I typically get this error. I tried shadow cast but doesn't work. Whenever I try to import a floor plan, similar error comes. If I leave the room open (clicked yes) then the problem doesn't occur. It always happens once I un-check the room open option.
Any ideas?

Neerai,

in a closed room the boundary must be covered entirely and consistently by Faces. Each side of a Face must be attached to the side of a neighbour Face using the same pair of Vertices. Neighbour Faces must look into the same direction, that means in practice that for any shared pair of Vertices the order of the Vertices in the list of one Face is opposite to the order of the neighbour Face.

You also will get this error if the area of the face is zero. This often happens on import if the vertices are close together enough that they get combined as one vertex. You then end up with a face that consists of just 2 points, so there is no area.
