Saving files in other locations

I have been using EASE's default directory on my C: drive to save project files, but now I need to save them in other locations like network drives on other computers. When I open the files saved at other locations, they work fine until I try to save project data. Then it gives me several of the "Code 75: File/Access Error"s and it refuses to actually save anything. Is this a problem other people have? Does anyone know how to get around it?

You need to have write permission for those other locations. The error you are getting indicates that you don't have this permission.

What version of EASE?

What version is your OS?

Well I seem to have write permission on the network drive I want to use. I found that I can use the "save as" feature to save on the drive just fine, as long as I am creating a new file. If I use "save as" to overwrite an existing file, or I use "save project data", I get errors and it won't let me save.

I have EASE 4.2.0.22, and I'm using XP Professional SP3.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,

Please update to EASE 4.3, and let me know if it is improved. There have been 5 updates in the 2 years since your version was released, many of them including various improvements to file handling.
