activating item zooms out

Hi,

I'm researching few curved reflector designs and I intended using Ray-tracing to see the reflection pattern around the room. I did that by selecting "Use only selected faces". Unfortunately, while selecting intended faces and activating them using F8 the model zooms out and I've to zoom in again to find and select another face of the reflector. This gets bit annoying with bigger models. Is there any other workaround?

Thanks

Filip

Hi,
If I click on a face in zoomed in window and use F8, the model zoom stays at that zoom and I can activate the next face. Please do not use the scroll bars of the Editor window without a selected face, this will do a zoom out first.

Hi,
thank you for your reply.
I don't use the scroll bars of the editor window, I zoom in using mouse, click the face I want to activate and activate it using F8 or RMB and clicking Activate.
The issue I described happens only in raytracing module - View Project.
While in Edit Project Data the issue while activating faces do not occur.

Hi,
you are right. We reproduced this behavior here now.
We will check, if it can be changed in the future.
Thank you for informing us.
