I have a project where we want to use speaker arrays but there are both architectural obstructions and areas where we are trying to keep the level down. Do GLL files work like clusters in that the source is considered a point or does a speaker array model as if sound is coming from all the speakers? When I try ray tracing, rays appear to come from all cabinets but does this carry over to simple 3-D modeling? This particular project involves Meyer CAL64 but it applies to many other projects I'm working on.

Yes, for ray tracing each cabinet of a line array is considered separately as source.
