So, when EASE Setup says Remove or Repair, which should we choose? Always wary of wrecking the licence with this software!

Hi Paul,

The installers don't touch the license files, so it doesn't matter which you choose, from a licensing standpoint.

For a new version, however, you want to remove and reinstall.

Make sure that there are no EASE processes still running by looking in the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) on the first tab. To be sure, you can always reboot Windows. Some folks have encountered errors otherwise if EASE was not closed cleanly one of the times it was run.

Also, if it suggests that you reboot after installing, be sure that you do before trying to run EASE.

I'm having problems with the license for the SpeakerLab module. When I run the License Manager, and select EASE SpeakerLab, I get an error window that says "Initialization Failed (1): Error: License Files path not valid!"

I tried going through the steps above and was unable to find a EASE SpeakerLab section on the portal page, from which to download User Files Setup. What am I missing???

Hi Brad,

You're missing the User Files setup that would be in the SpeakerLab section on the AFMG Download Portal. If it is not there then contact AFMG Support at support (at) afmg.eu

Hi Frank,

I have a problem when I installed the Speaker Lab, the problem is I can't download the Licence from AFMG. Please advise.

Thanks & Regards

Hendra,

I am not sure what your question is. You say it is OK and the other one is fixed. What needs to be fixed still?

CrypKey?

After selecting SpeakerLab in the AFMG Licence Manager the following message pops up:

"Initialization failed (1): Error: The CrypKey engine could not be initialized. To resolve this problem:

1. Please reboot your computer and try again.
2. Please verify that the CrypKey service is installed and running correctly.
3. Please make sure that the licence files are not accessed through a network connection."

Rebooting does not help, neither does reinstalling. Since I do not know what the CrypKey service is, I am not sure how to proceed.

Thx for helping me!

Hi Jörn,

Please make sure that you have installed the User Files Setup available at the AFMG Download Portal under the SpeakerLab heading. See the installation instructions available there for additional information.
