Dear all,

I am an average user for Ease v4.1 and a new user for autocad.
Currently, I have autocad model and encountered a difficulty to export the .dxf file into Ease.

I I had a very much polygon with 3 vertices.
1.I had trouble when making ceiling with face. How can I zoom that I need point when facing like autocad? I want to zoom when I work with face tool to a point not in screen and I must get for facing.
2. I combined two project phase and after I want delete some planes. But program dont let me delete.

Can any experts advice me the correct methods and procedures?

Thanks a lot.

Rgds,

Hi Mutluman,

If you are using the .dxf import function in EASE, you should definitely download and read Bruce's Tutorial on .dxf importation, "DXF Import and Export for EASE" on his web site:

http://www.olsonsound.com/EASE/articles.html

As to your specific questions:

1) When you are importing from an AutoCAD file that contains 3D faces, you should check the "Collect Scattered Faces" option in the DXF import window. This will analyze the model for planar surfaces and greatly--sometimes by a factor of 100--reduce the number of faces in the model.

2) When creating a face, the mouse scroll wheel will zoom in and out. Pressing the C on the keyboard will center the currently selected item in the view.

3) Are the faces you are trying to delete attached to Objects? If so, you will need to delete them from the object, or delete the object.
