Room volume calculations and precision

A question has come up in our office pertaining to methods in which EASE calculates room volume and how accurate they are. Could you comment on the precision of the room volume calculation and/or the variance (if any) as a room gets more complicated in shape?

We do not use any kind of Monte-Carlo or other numerical methods to calculate the volume as the analytical approach is faster and more accurate. It works for any kind of closed space.
