I have a room with 2 levels in it. The bottom level with 2 audience areas maps appropriately, however, I have an upper level that appears black with no information when I map the direct spl. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Jerry,

This may not be related to your issue, but I also got a total black area when I had the speaker and the audience area at the same height. I changed the speaker to 3.94ft and audience area at 4.0ft.

Hope this helps,

Sean Browne.

In order for the mapping to Audience Areas to work correctly, all sources need to be located above the plane of the Audience. For Balconies, this is often not the case. I usually use a Face when this happens for the Audience Plane at the top of a 4 foot high enclosed polygon that has the bottom coated to the balcony floor.

Best Regards,

Bruce
