| The RT only affects the estimation of the energy in the reverberant field. This can be either according to the Eyring/Sabine RT, which is based on the average absorption coefficient of the room and its surface area, or according to the user-defined RT.
In contrast, Raytracing and AURA use the absorption coefficient and the surface area of each individual surface, when it is hit by a ray. There is no way to determine these data easily from a single RT curve. For this purpose, the function Optimize RT has been implemented. It allows you fitting the wall materials of the room so that the predicted RT matches the measured RT. (This is also called the calibration of the model.) |
