How do I calculate Polars for Line Array DLLs?

In EASE, complex sound sources, such as line arrays, can be modelled using so-called DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries). DLLs can be totally customized regarding the user interface and the algorithms inside. In fact, being programmed typically in C/C++, a DLL represents a program on its own.

In EASE such DLLs can be used in generally two different ways:

1) When modelling rooms, a line array system can be placed in the room by adding it and assigning it to a loudspeaker just like a normal speaker model. After that mapping and raytracing calculations can be run like for any project.

2) When using the speakerbase, a line array system can be loaded just like a normal data file for a speaker model. But to look at the polars, the balloon, the directivity function or coverage patterns the line array setup has to be defined first and the directivity balloon for a given distance has to be computed. To do that use the command Compute Direct SPL in the EASE speakerbase.
