Hi,
according to ISO 3382 the sound source should be omnidirectional, yes.
The procedure of the measurement is described therein.
This is valid for the Support ST as well.
We suggest to read the EASERAAppendix.pdf.

Dear, Waldemar

According to ISO 3382 it states that G is the sound pressure level at listener measuring position minus sound pressure level of the same source measured at anechoic chamber with ref distance 10 m. This confusing me, since in my understanding to measure G we just put Omni dir mic at various listener position and use Omni dir speaker and get the G value from EASERA....

thx for reply

rgds,
Handy

Hi Handy,

the calculation of G needs two different measurements as described in the standard and in the EASERA tutorial.
If you measure the 10 m reference in the room also, use windows to get rid of the reflections.
In any case you have to note in the measurement description how you measured the reference and that it is different from the standard.
