Does anyone has any experience with ease mapping for sound masking system? For speakers aimed upward to the hard deck ceiling, how accurate is the mapping result of an audience below?

I attempted to do this some time ago. I never got very far because I wasn't able to find EASE data on the sound masking speakers I wanted to use. You might be able to find data on a speaker that has similar characteristics and extrapolate. My first though was that to get meaningful results you would need to use ray tracing but because you are only primarily concerned total level the statistical method could be adequate.

This is a case where if at all possible I would actually measure a single speaker in the anticipated configuration. Because you are striving for unintelligibility, there are fewer things that can screw than in a typical sound system.
