I’m using Systune with Edirol UA-101 using ASIO Drivers on a Tablet running on Win7 64-Bit. A few times I get skewed (unrealistic) results in delay times between tops and subs while measuring it using IR. Mostly in reverberant indoor venues (Even after putting Systune at default value). Are any different (specific) settings required for such venues? What are possible causes and remedies?

Hello,

When optimizing the delay times between top and sub speakers, you might not want to use the Impulse Response display. Rather, you might use the Phase display. Use the impulse response for "equivalent" loudspeakers, like full range ones on delay systems. On the Phase plot you will be able to evaluate it more accurately. I often use a TFC window for this.

Hi -

A couple of things:

For starters, as Pedro suggested, use a TFC window. Set the window "From" and "To" values to 0 and 45.

For the sub measurement, use 'Infinite' averaging and see what happens.

What I think is happening is in the venue, the sub energy is combining very constructively at the measurement position and the peak is much later than the leading edge.

Try these two things and see what happens.
