Hi,

I am using Windows 7. I have installed the Easera Systunes in my notebook and its installed successfully.
When I tried to install the EASERA Gateway, in the middle of the installation of the installation there is a msg that the setp is dearching for the connected devices. From there on the installtion procees dosent move forward eventhough I have connected the Audion output of the Gateway to the mic input of the notebook. The Gateway is externally powered.
The Systunes is working fine.
Pls suggest how to complete ths installation.

Have you connected the FireWire between the Gateway and the computer?

Hi Bruce,
Thank you for the Support.
I did not connect the Firewire. There is no firewire port in my notebook.
For that connection, do I need to Buy a Firewire to USB convertor?
Which brand would be recommended in that case?

You will need a Firewire card for your notebook. USB - Firewire adapters if they exist will not work. Which card you need depends on what slot you have on your laptop. The cards from Star Tech have worked well for most who have used them. Be sure to get a card that has only Firewire 400, do not get a "combo" card of any kind, as they will not work for audio applications.

Note that manufacturer's may change chipsets on their products and I cannot guarantee that any particular card will work with your laptop .

What if I have a Firewire port on my new Windows 7 laptop and it cannot find a driver? Is there a Easera Gateway driver compatible with Win7 available?
