I would like to do an auralization with an acoustic piano as the source. Has anyone ever modeled one as a speaker? I have a piano recording recorded in an anechoic chamber which I will use as a source. I could use an omni-directional radiator, but it would be nice to get the piano's directional characteristics.

Tried google but EASE is a hard word to search on.

Thanks.

Hi Lindsay,

I was checking the forum for kind of same info but there some hard things about all the directivity modeling. First of all mos of anechoic recordings are related to on-axis mic positions, lately in Finland they develop some direcivity measurements of varios orchestral instruments but you will find only the on-axis samples.

There are several papers that you may want to check about it I let some links here under so you can check them Smile
