how to determine appropriate split time?

The split time has a big impact on the calculated AI/PI values, and that makes sense based on the explanation of how the split time is used. But how should I determine the appropriate split time for my calculation?

My understanding is that split time is basically the split between what you want to be included in Direct vs Reverberant sound. I guess that's related to the Haas effect.

So I guess the answer is, depends on which calculation you are using and what standard you want to conform to.

I think somewhere between the 10-30msec is around the spot for most.
