| Some AURA mapping displays in Standard mapping have low resolution steps built in to the mapped picture. Isoline steps are way to coarse.
The same mapping routine in EYES produces a much better mapped result on the audience areas.
Echo Criteria and some other calculations have the same trouble. |

| Well ... it's hard without pictures so here we go.
Try Mapping Echo Speech in the standard mapping module.
Look at the colour bars and graduations in the legend on the RHS.
Then look at the intervals shown in the area map.
The map on the audience area will not show intervals that are useful. It shows first the EKgrad of 1 then the next isoline is set at EKgrad of 2
This is not useful in a metric with a target of 0.9 and a max of 1.0
The legend shows steps like 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 etc which is useful.
IF you go to EYES and map to the audience areas you will see that Echo speech isolines on the mapping plane are set at the same interval as they are in the legend.
Also ... we need an emoticon in the shape of a hand with extended thumb.
Thumbs up for good work and thumbs down for bad work.
Or perhaps a fish or a rat on it's back for something fishy or smellie and say a Gallapogas Turtle for slow and mabe a cheetah for fast.
A Kangaroo with a swag on it's shoulder could represent true blue or dinky die!
OTOH mabe a bull with a red circle and bar across it could mean ... "No Bull"
Sorry but I think emoticons are boring .... it's just me.

There are several other metrics in the standard mapping module that have the same trouble.
I'll see if I can re-list them.
I did make a list and sent it to Karen some months ago so it probably fell off the "to do" list by now.

Here is a list of sorts.
It looks like Echo Music, T10, T20, T30 Definition and EDT have the same troubles as Echo Speech.
This is not from an exhaustive test but a rather speedy one.
The metrics mentioned here were displayed as the same colour across an entire audience area in a "quick 'n dirty" room test.
